Pretty sure charrs, sylvaris and asuras cant breed with other races but it seems like humans and norns are close enough. IN EOTN, there's a quest where a Norn will force you into an engagement until you break it. If your character is female, then the male Norn will talk about you two having a family. Granted, from a human standpoint it isn't
The problem is essentially single-word names. My two Humans, two Charr and one Norn all had two-word names in the [Given name] [surname] format (surnames being family name for human, warband-based name for Charr and a deed name for Norn) and all five whent through at first try as far as I can remember.

Garm is the wolf companion of the norn Eir Stegalkin, a member of Destiny's Edge. He is a black dire wolf, and stated to be five feet tall. Although Garm looks intimidating and enjoys a good brawl, he has a gentle heart and wisdom to share to those who try to communicate with him.
The Guild Wars 2 Wiki has an article on Palawa Joko . In Guild Wars 2, Joko rules over all Elona. He is one of five NPCs that have more than two elite skills (the others are Nerashi, Mad King Thorn, Blade Ancient Syu-Shai and Yoannh the Rebuilder ).
