Just go to the places on the map with the respective animal on them and gather a handful of skins. I upgraded everything I could and needed only ~50 of them. There's also a skill that lets you gather twice as many, so it goes even farther. I'm sure the far cry wiki has a list of how many skins of each sort you need.
Exit the world map & if you have some distance from the item you are trying to find, the cursor will indicate if the item is above or below you. I have come across a few loot chests that seem to be invisible & non-interact-able but have not had any problems w/lost letters. best of luck. offalrolfing,

Keep failing mission and don't know why. (Story Spoilers). Just gave the sword to Citra and I am now doing the followup quest where you ambush the convoy. I plant the C4 as instructed and then I run and climb up to the water tower. It then says wait until the convoy is ambushed. Then suddenly it says "You attacked the convoy before it could be Just started playing this, and I can't believe the freaking mini-map essentially holds your hand through everything there is to see/pick up/etc. Please tell me someone has made a mod, or whatever, to turn it off. You could search the ubisoft mods forum. I know there is one, but idk what the name is. I found it, thanks.
I got FarCry 3 Delux Edition on sale, I downloaded it and started playing. After I changed all the setting to how I like them, I started a new game. After finding Liza, the game crashed, but It has nothing to do with the mission it slef. The game randomlay crashes at random times. The problem is corruption of the vertex information, and while it can be caused by a problem in game (there was one such bug in demigod iirc) it is usually (and probablly in this case) caused by overheating of your graphics card. Just drop the quality a little and the problem should go away.
