No new game+ and concidering those upgrades are a significant portion of that game specifically, there really shouldn't be. Enjoy building yourself back up or just continue and run around. I didn't know that you actually can return to a previous save when you die in permadeath. This makes the whole system redundant. If you died in permadeath mode during free roaming, you can't return to that one previous save that the game itself stores, you must backup your save manually to be able to roll back to it.

with Primal its multiple save files 1 - 17 is what shows on my drive .save and .save.upload (far cry 4 had a limited amount of saves ) as i already spoke about .. i have tested and used Akuna's backed up far cry Primal saves here and they worked ..
Esc, SAVE, Alt+Tab, open saves folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\*long number*\2029) and backup 2029 folder.
