I've considered the larger bikes but the lower seat height, lower wet weight, and longer range of the 790 are my top three criteria for choosing it. At 63 years old, weight lifting the bike off the ground and getting good footing on maginal surfaces are important. Light weight is #1 for me.

They push your leg out like you're riding a horse, effectively making your inseam lose length. +1. I’m 5’8 with a 30” inseam and run the PP tall seat.I run KTM XC-F bars (They are lower and have less sweep than OEM for the 790) I have them mounted to a TCM Scotts damper mount so that bring the bars back up a little. So in all currently - 10mm down on pegs. Bars near stock height but flatter. Running PP tall seat. I'm 6'0 tall w/34" inseam.
